After making an excellent start to the academic year, the Year 10 students continued to shine like a guiding star in the run up to Christmas.
Reflecting on their performance in over last half term it is wonderful to see a 4% increase in students achieving the top band of ATL grades (3.5+) with a further nearly 70% achieving ATL averages above 2.5. These figure are great and provide a clear picture of the hard work being put in by the students.
With continued good attendance and a further reduction in behaviour points being picked up by the year group on the whole, it is not surprising to see that the overall GCSE grade prediction for the year group has increased to an impressive level.
Over the next few weeks, I will be meeting with many of these students to congratulate them for their various achievements.
Well done year 10!
