Year 11 students have been working exceptionally hard this term, preparing for their final exams and especially those with practical subjects and the recent work on controlled assessments and practical exams.

The students have engaged fully with the revision programme at school and at home and have completed a huge amount of exam preparation work.

Below is an outline of the optional GCSE revision sessions for the Easter break. These additional sessions are designed to support the revision and preparation that students will be completing at home over the 2 weeks.  We know many have designed revision timetables, and whilst the break provides a much needed opportunity to relax and re-charge their batteries, it is also a chance to complete some revision in their own time.

(Can I remind you that students will needs to sign in at the main reception on arrival for any Easter sessions. There will not be any catering facilities open and pupils will need to leave the school site once the sessions are finished.)

The revision at home is very important, as the school sessions supplement this work at home, where students can select their preferred approach (mind maps, videos, past papers etc) and the  specific topics they personally need to cover within a subject.

Over the Easter break some subjects will also be giving specific revision tasks to the students for them to complete. This includes English who have set work on Doddle and many other resources that pupils will be given. We appreciate that there is a lot on offer, but it is all to prepare ourselves for the final push in the summer term and to make sure we are fully organised and ready.
