The options process is complete (well nearly…) and you did very well. There was a lot of information given, a whole load of assemblies and even more paperwork! I hope you are all pleased with the choices you made and excited about the journey ahead.
A couple of reminders from me in terms of priorities this term…..
Thank you to Ines, our language ambassador from the UEA for visiting Sprowston to speak to Year 9 students about the importance of learning a language.
On Friday 4th November, year 9 students of French, Spanish and German experienced a special lesson conducted by student “Language Ambassadors” from the University Of East Anglia (UEA)
Ambassadors Ross and Ines spoke to the students about the importance of learning other languages, followed by taster sessions in either French or Japanese.
Following are some of their comments on this event.
Welcome back to a very important term for us all in Year 9. For the first time ever you have the opportunity to shape your education, chose some of the subjects you study in years 10 and 11 and make a real difference to your future.
As a year group you have come a long way since the start of year 8, and as a whole you are making great progress across the curriculum. There is still a lot to be done, and you know the basics are so important, now and always. The options process starts very soon, so there are some important things for us to remember.
