I took Year 9 and Year 10 German students on a Langauge Day to Cambridge University on Friday 27.03.18.

We shared a bus with students from Hellesdon High School and this gave students an opportunity to forge friendships on the journey.

All our students were exceptional in their behaviour and conduct all day and it was a pleasure to share the day with them.

During the day our students had the opportunity for taster lessons in Russian. Portuguese, Persian and Hebrew. They also had a lecture on the pitfalls of translation and had an attempt at calligraphy - which proved to be a lot harder than it looked!

The question and answer-session at the end of the day was really successful, since the Language Ambassadors at Cambridge were enthusiastic, keen and very informative. I overheard one of our Sprowston students say: ' This day has really given me something to think about - I am going to work hard to go to uni and if I get the grades I will chose Cambridge' I hope this is a sentiment felt by others in the group.
