As part of our Anti-Bullying Awareness Scheme here at Sprowston Community High School our Year 10 & 11 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors visited Falcon Junior School on Tuesday 15th November to run workshops with Year 5 on the effects bullying has on a young person physically and mentally. The content of the day consisted of team building activities and role play scenarios tackling many different types of bullying, the day ended with reflection and evaluation.

The Anti-Bullying Ambassador programme is part of the charity, the Diana Award. This was founded as a legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.

Since 1999, the Diana Award has recognised 39,000 ordinary young people who have made an extraordinary difference to their community.

The Diana Award does three things:

  1. Encourage young people for the contribution to their communities
  2. Empower young people to achieve their full potential
  3. Engage young people in social action to make a difference in the lives of others, through Anti-Bullying Training and Mentoring Programmes.

Thank you to: Isobel Adcock, Imogen Allen, Millie Allerhand, Talia Brown, Caterina Jalo, Bethany Lester,

Hope Mayes, Tiegan Poynter, Ruby Slaats and Jade Symmons for their hard work and dedication –

Well done to everyone - a fantastic day had by all!!

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors ensure that their school is a safe, happy and bully free environment.
