#year 7

  • We held a special assembly for Year 7 on Thursday 8th December where we invited a number of guests from different occupational backgrounds.  The whole idea was to inspire the pupils to challenge gender stereotypes in the workplace.

  • A lot to celebrate over the last few days

    • Yr7's historic victory in Basketball - well done boys!
    • An excellent presentation on Road Safety by City College, organised by Miss Blackthorn which the Year 7s were really engaged in.
    • Well done to 7VJ for winning the Achievement Point challenge - they had a well-deserved Pizza lunch today - yum!
    • Finally, well done to all those who took part in the Enterprise Extravaganza and 'Mann Made Goods' for being awarded 1st place!

    Mr Setchell

    Head of Year 7

  • This term so far has been really exciting in the Library. Each month we have been on a trip to meet famous children’s authors. In September a group of Librarians met Julian Sedwick and participated in a creative writing workshop led by him, focussing on developing characters in stories.

  • The following students have achieved the highest ATLs in Year 7 at Tracking 1 - this is a refection of their hard work and the positive start they have made at Sprowston. Well done!

    Mr Setchell

    Head of Year 7

  • It was great to be able to congratulate the Year 7s on a really positive start to their time at Sprowston Community High School.

    Well done to you all.

7VJ won the Achievement Points competition and have set the bar for this half term.

I hope you had a restful holiday!

    Mr Setchell

    Head of Year 7

  • Thank you to all the parents, carers and guardians of Year 7 pupils that filled in the parent view questionnaire at the last parent's evening, the responses of which can be on the Parent View page.

  • Great news! We run Homework Club after school for all students in Pathways in CM Block

The Homework Club is designed to encourage and support students in becoming more independent, enable them to overcome obstacles and to improve homework records.  It also gives the opportunity to use the internet for homework tasks. Stationery, equipment, access to computers and printers are also available. The Homework Club also offers peer support from Year 10 and Year 11 Duke of Edinburgh volunteers and Sixth Form students who help and encourage students with their work.

The Homework Club takes place at the following times and days:

    Tuesdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm with Mrs Norman

    Thursdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm with Mrs Vannucci
